It's normal to be scared. believe me I was scared shitless when I had both of my kids. Now here I am, trying for another one. You'll do fine, You're probably already in labor by now. My husband would have made me change also. I don't go anywhere so I dress like I want when I'm in the house and if he don't like how I am dressed and he wants me to go with him I do go and change to look decient. Its not that like he really cares what I look like but it is what others would think of me. When I was preg with my youngest child I was not with his dad (we are now happily married), I did not call or tell him his son was born till he was over a month old. I had all kinds of problems though. I had a 17 month old at home by a different father, I was still living at home, and I was debating on giving him up for adoption, he was born 12 weeks early. You don't have to tell him nothing if he wants to know and is so worried he will contact you. Don't waste your time it is not worth it. That is why me and my oldest sons dad are not together. I tried to make him see his son for 6 months and he had an excuss 90% of the time why he could not come over or why he could not give me money so don't waste your time[radar1524]

Yeah they give you the shot after you give birth too. Hopefully you will be able to have it vaginally! I was induced...started at 6 am, was fully dialted at 4 pm, pushed til 6 pm..then they said the baby wasn't going to fit so I had a c section. Great. Good luck.[caffeinefree]

awwww i totally feel your pain. with my little boy i was in labor for 5 days. :( they made me STAY in labor since i was 6 weeks early.
good luck! and remember, it's not too long now. get moving around and it will get them going again. i've heard cleaning (wear a mask) or taking walks helps! x

Yep, This sounds like active labor to me. They're pretty irregular, but this is also your first child. But seeing as you've been contracting more then four per hour, I'd start getting ready to go to the hospital. It just may be your time. And it's always better to be safe then sorry. Whoaa!! Three more weeks. Ok, here are 5 things you need to do before having her: 1) Get a manicure/pedicure, and your hair done. I mean, you've got to look good for the birth of your first baby. 2) Practice different faces in the mirror that would be ideal to make when you're contracting and pushing. 3) When you're in labor, call up all those b*tches who used to work your last nerves and cuss them out. I'm talking about Becky from the 2nd grade who pushed you off the monkey bars. 4) Buy a new outfit based on the body you had before the baby. 5) If anyone tells you have to do something, just look them dead in the eyes, and say, "I don't have to do anything, but be Black and die." (Ok, I know you're not Black, but it doesn't have that ring to it when you say White.) *Bonus* Take a day off from work and sleep![cheryl12]

Lol, 3D ultrasounds are SO cool! That's when I had mine for my daughter (and good thing, because I went into labor 3 weeks later!) and she came out looking exactly how she looked in the ultrasound! I watch A Baby Story, among other shows about women giving birth, and I saw how they induce the women. They take this thermometer looking stick, and go in your hole, and break the sac the baby is in. It will hurt. After they break the sac, they will probably give you some medicine to speed up the labor. But you know, after your sac breaks, you are in active labor.[cheryl12]

Thanks for the advice. I just don't know what to do becuz I'm in college now and I'm trying to be really serious about getting my life together, so part of me is saying to forget about him and just worry about my studies. But the other part of me says to just hold on a little bit longer. It says not to let go. So I just don't know what to do. By the way, congrats on your pregnancy! I just had a baby niece that was born June 13th and she's such an amazing baby girl. She's already stolen my heart and I love her with everything I have. =) She can just always make me smile no matter what. Babies truly are precious. I'm gonna add you to my faves if that's OK. 27 Weeks & Diabetes

The funny thing is, I was going to ask you, in your last entry, if you had gestational diabetes; and now, you do. Hopefully, after the baby is born, your glucose levels will return back to normal, and you won't end up with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Now, your doctor is going to have to monitor you even more than they were before. [cheryl12]

You haven't been on in a while. Sounds like everything, other than your glucose level, is fine. Are you still picking him up after work? Look at it this way, if he's giving you a hard time now, when you give birth, you can give him a hard time about how you were in labor for 36 hours, 22 minutes, and 5 seconds for the rest of his life. lol.[cheryl12]

Thanks! I do feel different. I have this wierd feeling in my gut. Just this tight feeling. I am obviously emotional since I just started crying at work. I did take a test today, knowing that it would show negative, but had to try. I felt like I was nuts because I was feeling things just days afterward so I feel better knowing that you did too!
